Christmas Tree Singapore is Hiring!
Christmas is slightly more than a month away and it is a busy time for Christmas Tree Singapore!
Just like any other Christmas shop in Singapore or anywhere around the world, assistance will always be a great need!
Read on for the following job openings that are available:
1.) Workshop Assistant
It is a culture for us to organise private workshops for our partners. These workshops include Flower Arrangement and Terrarium Making Workshops!
Assistants will be required to assist in preparing materials for each of the participants of the workshop. There is currently 5 workshops a day planned daily from 19 December 2016 to 23 December 2016. Each workshop is only 1.5 hours in duration. The preparation before the event and the cleaning after would take about an hour each.
Materials that the assistant would have to deal with are concrete/terracotta pots, soil, gravel, pebbles, stone, plants, fresh cut flowers, cacti, succulents, glass jars, and other relevant tools such as mini shovels and mini shearers.
Each workshop will require the presence of 3 assistants. Apart from the setting up activity before the event and clearing up after, assistants are required to also observe the participants and offer them help whenever the need arises. This form of help may involve bringing more materials to them, or helping them with a particular task that they have difficulty in.
Therefore, all selecting applicants will have to attend a 2.5 hour training/briefing at our office in Jln Pemimpin on 16 December 2016.
Dates of Service: 19 to 23 December 2016 (daily)
Time each Day: 1 pm to 5 pm
Lunch is Provided
Pay: S$16 per hour
Location: The Grand Cathay

2.) Workshop Instructor
The responsibility of the workshop instructor is to conduct the workshop for the participants. This is the same workshop as mentioned in the previous job posting.
Workshop Instructors are expected to be experienced and skilled in flower and terrarium arrangement. Throughout the course of the workshop, instructors are required to speak and instruct the crowd.
Shortlisted candidates are required to come down to our office at Jln Pemimpin for a selection interview on 3 December 2016.
All materials will be provided for and a humorous and personable instructor with a good command of English is preferred.
Dates of Service: 19 to 23 December 2016 (daily)
Time each Day: 1 pm to 5 pm
Lunch is Provided
Pay: S$32 per hour
Location: The Grand Cathay
All races are welcome! Candidates are expected to be already skillful and highly experienced in the above mentioned arrangements.
3.) Christmas Tree Administrator
We currently have at least 1200 orders to fulfil for the first 3 weeks of December 2016. Staff are required to manage delivery drivers by ensuring their whereabouts are known at all times. Each delivery is to be tracked and recorded in our online system. Administrators are to also respond to queries regarding delivery tracking via e-mail and phone call.
Each administrator will be responsible for the fulfilment of 100 orders from the time of 10 am to 10 pm. This total time range will be split into 2 shifts of 10 am to 5 pm and 5 pm to 10 pm. Shortlisted applicants are more than welcome to work for both shifts. Staff are also expected to possess good organisational and administrative skills, be well-mannered, and have a decent command of English.
Dates of Service: 1 to 17 December 2016
Time each Day: 10 am to 5 pm, 5 pm to 10 pm, or both
Lunch and Dinner is provided
Pay: S$9 per hour
Location: Senoko Loop (transport is provided to and fro to Yishun MRT)

3.) Christmas Tree Decorator
We have 6 commercial projects all in the region of the Central Business District of Singapore. These projects are all to be fulfilled internally, within the offices of 6 of our clients.
Selected candidates are required to decorate Christmas Trees of the height of 2.8 metres. These candidates are also required to have had a good amount of experience with decorating Christmas Trees. An agreed decor has already been decided on, and staff will simply have to replicate the given design.
It is important that individuals who apply for this position do not have existing health complications that may pose as a risk in the course of performing their duties.
These are the trees that we will be decorating (in the mentioned height, image just for design):
Dates of Service: 29 November 2016, 1 December 2016, 3 December 2016
Time each Day: 7 am to 9 am
No meals are provided
Pay: S$18 per hour
Location: CBD
Individuals with Christmas Tree decoration experience will be preferred.
